Gigasheet recognizes common data types automatically. You can see what data type has been assigned to a given column by the icon displayed in various places throughout the application.

These data type icons will appear in your sheet:
They will also appear in your Right-hand Panel. You can get there by selecting Right-hand Panel > Select Rows
